Course Description
Build your clinical competence with EFAST's CPD-accredited oxygen therapy training course. A 4-hour onsite programme near Dublin for nurses, healthcare assistants, paramedics, and any healthcare professional required to administer or manage oxygen therapy in a clinical or pre-hospital setting. Learn:
- Indications for Oxygen Therapy - When to initiate, titrate, and discontinue oxygen in line with current clinical guidelines
- Oxygen Delivery Devices - Nasal cannula, simple face masks, non-rebreather masks, and venturi masks, selection, application, and flow rate settings
- Hazards and Safe Handling - Fire risk, oxygen toxicity, contraindications, and correct storage and handling of oxygen cylinders
- Documentation and Monitoring - Patient assessment, SpO2 monitoring, recording oxygen prescriptions, and escalation procedures
