Course Overview
This sharps awareness training online course covers the risks of sharps injuries, the chain of infection and safe handling of discarded sharps. You will learn about the equipment needed, disposal procedures and reporting requirements.
What You Will Learn
- Recognise the safety implications of using Sharps, whether clinical or non-clinical
- State the associated injuries and infections associated with usage of sharps. Understand employer risk assessments regarding sharps and what to do if you are injured
